Claudia Valero is a writer and lecturer. Master in History and Theory of Art and the City from the National University of Colombia, and in Creative Writing from the Caro y Cuervo Institute. She is interested in the recording of personal essays and poetic prose in explorations related to landscape, experience, vision and aesthetic phenomena. She has been one of the winners of the City of Bogotá short story award (2018), finalist of the IBRACO short story contest El Brasil de los Sueños (2019) and resident in Can Serrat (Barcelona) during September 2023.
El Boga Residence
During her residence in El Boga she will begin a collecting and poetic prose project around the trees of Mompox, generating dialogues between diverse documents such as the chronicles of botanical companies of the 19th century, watercolors of everyday scenes, herbarium records and stories, memories, beliefs of the momposinas and momposinos about the vegetation and the environment.
