Working with the community of Mompox
In addition to their own artistic project, residents are required to propose and carry out artistic activities with the community of Mompox. These can take the form of workshops, recitals, conservatories, performances, etc. The community project may be in a different area to the artist's main project.

Selection of candidates
The selection of residents is made on the basis of proposals submitted through the website (click on the Apply Here button). The jury evaluates the quality and originality of the artistic proposal and the relevance of the community project and its methodology. Please see the selection criteria and review the profiles of the residents who have passed through the house and the activities they have developed with the community. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your proposal before submitting your application.

About Mompox
Mompox is a world heritage site, a crossroads of histories, a forgotten and recovered place, an arm of the river that changed Colombia's destiny. Mompox is a swamp, a river, it is glory, past and present, it is rhythm, gaita and pisingo. Mompox is jazz, Mompox is music. Mompox is six churches from the 16th century. Mompox is 50 thousand inhabitants, and a living tradition of goldsmithing, filigree, forging, carpentry, weaving and other crafts.
About Casa Taller El Boga
We are a non-profit foundation established in Mompox in July 2019. Our mission is to develop cultural, academic and artistic activities that foster dialogue and add value to the local community and visitors. We promote cultural exchange, environmental sustainability, and the protection of Mompox's material and immaterial heritage. We promote exchanges and workshops, and host artistic residents and guests interested in sustaining Boga's mission.
Residents stay in a colonial house with multiple spaces for interaction (living room, patio, swimming pool, kitchen) conducive to creativity. We promote encounters between the resident artists and encourage meetings and workshops with local artisans and connoisseurs, representatives of the arts and crafts of Mompox.

Duration of the residencies
The duration of the residencies can be from 1 to 3 months. Candidates should indicate the dates on which they would like to participate.
