Welcome to Casa Taller El Boga our cultural centre and artists' residency located in a colonial house by the magnificent Magdalena river in the historic centre of the world heritage town of Mompox, Colombia.

Who is this call addressed to? To writers, visual artists, designers, musicians, audio producers, and researchers who are carrying out an artistic project. The call is open to Colombian and foreign artists alike. Foreigners must have a working knowledge of Spanish.

Biomimetics workshop

Note: Biomimetics or biomimicry is the emulation of the models, systems, and elements of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems.

Gwendy conducted the workshop from 7 October to 6 November 2019, with students of filigree and traditional cooking from the Escuela Taller de Mompox. Topics such as creativity, design inspired by nature, visual communication and experimentation with materials from the region were discussed. These will serve as tools to strengthen their learning processes in the future.
