Camilo Barreneche, an artist from Pereira (Colombia), investigates the connections between art and ornithology.
El Boga Residency
With his project "Birdwatching as an artistic practice" he seeks to create a poetic cartography that records the tracks, traces and signs of the birds that inhabit the banks of the Magdalena River and the urban area of Mompox. During her residency, she will explore the conceptual, plastic, visual and sound relationships between the birds, the river and the community that resides in the Mompox territory. Her residency is possible thanks to the national circulation grant for artists and other agents of the arts awarded by the Ministry of Culture in 2023.
