Lauren Ortiz Rodríguez is a daughter of the Greater Caribbean. She is a researcher, writer, and sociocultural facilitator. She studied social communication and journalism and holds a master's degree in socio-spatial studies from the University of Antioquia. Her professional and community career has focused on strengthening research, artistic, pedagogical, and organisational processes from an anti-racist, territorial, and gender perspective. She has participated in projects related to memory building, the vindication of Afro-descendant communities, and the visibility of women's and young people's narratives, as well as Caribbean cultural expressions.
Lauren will act as a liaison between residents and the Momposina community and will develop the Boga's cultural agenda.
