Jonathan is a travelling photographer and videographer from Antioquia whose passion for telling stories through images has led him to explore different corners of the country. ‘Jona’, as he likes to be called, discovered at an early age the power of capturing ephemeral moments and transforming them into memories that last over time. His training covers photography in general, complemented by recent studies in visual anthropology, documentary photography and documentary video making with camera and drone.

El Boga residency

During his artistic residency at El Boga, he will develop audiovisual content to promote the project as an artistic foundation, focusing on accommodation and the extensive cultural programme at El Boga. He will also be in charge of creating material that highlights the cultural and heritage value of Mompox, making visible realities that invite reflection and change, generating awareness and empathy. His philosophy is based on personal growth, the power of co-creation and service to others. Through his work, Jonathan seeks not only to capture images, but also to build bridges between stories, people and places, inspiring more sensitive perspectives and more authentic connections with the world around us.
