//Artist, songwriter

Sara Franco is a multidisciplinary artist from the city of Pereira, mainly dedicated to her work as a singer-songwriter and visual artist. At this crossroads of languages, her explorations share a common interest in finding new tools to connect ideas and tell stories. Sara's work is a reflection of her daily concerns and personal experiences, which are often transformed into songs full of emotional landscapes that take the listener to an intimate and poetic place.

El Boga Residency

During her residency at El Boga, Sara will seek to compose a portrait of Mompox in the form of a song, linking her own experience with the local poetic forms she encounters there. With the poetry of Candelario Obeso as a beacon, she will explore questions related to the use of language, the most characteristic types of rhyme, the reliefs, colours and sounds that inhabit this river island.

With the intention of integrating her skills, Sara will accompany her process of musical creation with a process of graphic exploration; for this, in addition to her own investigations, she will propose a series of encounters with the local population, around images and soundscapes, which will contribute to the development of the residency project from a perspective of co-creation with the community.
